The Daniel Defense MFR 9.0 is a 9" CNC Machined Modular Free Float Handguard. It is specifically designed to adequately cover a low profile gas block on a carbine or mid-length gas system barrel.
The MFR 9.0 has been engineered to provide each shooter with the ultimate in modular adaptability. Should the shooter desire, the tube can be run “slick” with an unitterupted top rail that runs the length of the tube. In addition, the installation of Modular Picatinny Rails is accomplished with little effort. This allows you to have rails anywhere you need them and nowhere you don’t.

DANIEL DEFENSE M4 TORTURE TEST

Daniel Defense understands that not all rifles are going to sit in a safe, perfectly clean, well lubricated, and under the umbrella of rust preventing desiccant bags. When in the hands of those protecting our country and our streets, these rifles will be subject to the elements of nature and flat out physically abused. The video you are about to watch will depict some of the harshest conditions these rifles will ever encounter. Over a two day period, we captured incredibly intense torture tests of our Daniel Defense M4 Carbine, Version 1. The torture test is broken down into the various tests performed by Daniel Defense employees and Larry Vickers. These are legitimate, no BS tests performed to gauge the durability of the Daniel Defense M4. The various tests are made to simulate real world environments, situations, and extreme circumstances.

Cold Hammer Forging of barrels has been known for decades to produce the most accurate, longest lasting rifle barrels obtainable. The Cold Hammer Forging of barrels is accomplished through intense hydraulic pressure applied at opposing angles by carbide steel hammers. During the hammering process, a mandrel is inserted into the bore while the carbide steel hammers shape the barrel around the mandrel creating the chamber, the lands, and the grooves. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the Cold Hammer Forging process creates a defect free bore and the most consistent chamber possible.

All Daniel Defense cold hammer forged barrels are made from start to finish in our state-of-the-art facility located in Black Creek, GA. In keeping with our heritage of not cutting corners, all cold hammer forged barrels feature a forged chamber and heavy phosphate exterior coating. They are all MP tested on-site and are available in multiple configurations which includes barrel only (stripped); barrel with Front Sight Base; barrel with Low Profile Gas Block; and barrel with Front Sight Base, gas tube, and delta Ring assembly (Complete). These barrels will prove themselves to be more accurate and last longer than a barrel that has cut or button rifling.
