Great news, she's on her way to full recovery :ch: After hand rubbing (the heat from the friction really does the trick) and letting Schaftol set for for a day or two, the last stage would be applying a coat of furniture wax, exactly what I did using dark Schaftol. That old lady will last forever.

The model 700 on the right belongs to a hunting/shooting/business buddy of mine (who BTW visited SA a while ago on a business trip): the same as model 500, but with very nice engravings.

After a very late start to the season due to late rains my 505 (on the right) and the 585 that her buttstock was swapped with 20 odd years back were reunited in the field. Turns out that shooting the shottie of someone who represented SA doesn't make you less kak!
