Design and construction of silencer for .22 rifle

Can anyone supply me with, or refer me to a source for the design of a silencer for a .22 rifle? I have a friend who is a mechanical engineer and I want to look into his constructing one for my rifle, but we don't have a design. Also, if anyone could refer me to a supplier of such silencers, I would appreciate it.
