Will shoot all my revolver matches with carry optics on it as a revolver is not my primary SD weapon. A pistol is, and there I am still not comfortable with anything than good old sights that is always "switched on" and not likely to break or loose zero.
You really want to be the only dude in your division at a match don't you :)
You would be surprised how many irons sights I have seen break
Re: Revolver Carry Optics
Not really. At our club is a lot of Revolver activity. Will definitely have some competition. The problem is the eyes Big T. I don't like wearing glasses, so now some of my firearms must wear glasses.:h1:
Yah, to tell the truth, the iron sights on my revolver is not good anymore, that is a huge drive to fit optics. But I am still not there for my everyday carry gun and IDPA is mostly so that I get my skills for SD up. The revolver use is just some nostalgia.
Thanks for that link Piet vWd deVries.
Re: Revolver Carry Optics
Adoons, as far as I know IPSC caters for optics on rollies. Icore and Bianchi Cup definitely does, and Steel Challenge is of course a shoe in. So there are options for you apart from IDPA.
Dont forget iron sights on your rollie completely. Remember, in the Electromagnetic Pulse that will follow a Nuclear Attack, all Semi-Autos and their Dots will stop working :h1:
