Puma White hunter - Puma Lovers?
I have finally joined the club and acquired my first Puma knife...
A white Hunter 6377 produced the 2nd part of 1980. I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the workmanship on this knife!!
My Photobucket is acting up so will post pics when I get home.
Anyone on here with a Puma or two they'd like to show off?:g:

Here we go!
Mine is on the left, the massive set is a Waidbesteck set which is a Waidblatt and a Jagdnicker combo. That set belongs to a friend and will be off to him soon.

I loved my puma white hunter, It was lost/or stollen during a house move a few years ago :-(
Re: Puma White hunter - Puma Lovers?
Thank you!
I received a brand new USMC Kabar on the same day, I have to admit I am a bit under-whelmed due to the unplanned acquisition of the white hunter and my subsequent comparison, the white hunter blows all my American blades out of the water. You can't have too many knives!
Re: Puma White hunter - Puma Lovers?
Puma is simply exceptional. The steel sharpens fast and easy, keeps its edge and the balance of the knives is usually good.
And once in a while one finds an old skatjie which was still made by hand in Germany. I have fondled three of them in my lifetime.
Re: Puma White hunter - Puma Lovers?
Happy to have 3 classic Puma's. A pre '64 Forster Nicker, a White Hunter from 3rd quarter 1967 and 1972 Game Warden folder.

Re: Puma White hunter - Puma Lovers?
I have no idea it this is a genuine puma or not... It is a well used knife. I've had it for many many years... Has PUMA Solingen engraved just below the hilt...

That's a great looking knife!
I have found this on the puma collectors website about the model: "Scout Knife, Model 6313, Circa 1940's. This model with the PUMA Head graces the cover of the 1940's era catalog."

I think determining the originality would be in the finer details and the sheath markings, but irrespective of that it looks like a beautiful piece to have in any collection.:g:
