Nice pics there JS4! Pity I didnt have a camera, there would have been some much more interesting shots.:g:
Although most of us did very little shooting on the day, we got joy from helping all and sundry with shooting all the different rifles, shotguns and handguns. Shooters ranged in age from about 5 years old to 75, from eager young lads and lasses to ou manne who wanted to re-live their youth with the FAL. Sean Camo and JS4 were always around to help with the demo guns and were particularly helpful when posture needed correcting or hair needed to be held out the way but I struggled on bravely.
Next time I will make sure that I bring along sufficient hydration as we had almost no time to even go and buy a cool drink and besides water was what was needed.
On a side note I must mention that eye and ear protection are absolutely essential. We insisted on all shooters wearing "eyes and ears" but some folk regarded it a bit of a chore. I for one am very glad I was wearing protection as I got a red hot 7.62 doppie in the glasses from the FAL at about 1m. Without my glasses (which have a mark melted into them) I would have had a serious injury. Overall the team ensured that no accidents happened and that we all went home safely, keeping even the most enthusiastic newbies muzzles downrange and fingers off the triggers. Well done guys.
I think Bullers Barstids need to do a practice session next time before we go up, so that we can crush the opposition as we should.
Rambo! :DW:
Who me? I'm as pure as the driven snow.
then who is JS4 pureboy?
He is the fly boy that lost his razor and likes to correct ladies shooting posture (ducking and running)
*grin*
