    im a freshwater fisherman but goin to san lameer for a few days next week... n e one got n e tips on the fishing there?

    I can't help you with freshwater but I recently got a nice shad in Southbroom. There are some bays in the area where the fishings still ok.
    And Southbroom lagoon is good as well - ive even seen a garrick come out of there.
    BTW - did anyone see Leon Shuster casting his line (intentionally) over everyone elses line at durbans pier ? And then catching a big flattie from one of the fisherman lol.

    Millers point? should be called baboon harrasment point these days, been fishing since the age of 5yrs, thats when i caught my first galjoen at lientjies klip Langebaan when it was still a little fishing village, 45 yrs later i am still at it, the only thing that keeps me sane.

    nonsence, theres no fish in southbroom... grr!!!!!!!!!

    saw in the local south coast fever, some oak pulling in a 30kg salmon onto the beach last week.

    last time i went i took my skootle family n everything, made a big deal out of it... like, ok guys you chill on the beach ill catch the fish and we all have fresh fried fish fro breakfast... not chance... ended up at wimpy.

    I checked that as well GearsOfWar it was nice to see but kuck feeling coz we never catch there haha...

    South coast has been like that for years. Fished out, unless you're going for sharks and even those are getting scarce.

    Another way of fishing the south coast is to pack heat, take your most expensive fishing gear and find a secluded spot. Then wait for the bad guys!!! If you are lucky a croud of b/g's will turn up and you can bag a few...
