I also want to get involved in varminting in SA. Especially smaller animals like rodents and feral pigeons. But later when money allows I want to build a dedicated varmint rifle.

I have a beautiful Anschütz .22LR with a fat barrel, a silencer and a mean scope. All I need is a quarry to hunt... :)

Some yanks firing a .17HMR and eradicating Ground Squirrels for a client on a farm I think - fokin funny, hundreds of shots he even misses one but shoots its tail off at 05:30sec into the video
good to watch if you want to hunt vermin, its a 7+ mins clip
a good few look like they got away though
