Re: power stations under attack?
The problem with voting people out of office is that you never voted them into office in the first place.

Re: power stations under attack?
I am getting tired of saying it but voting won’t do jack shit in this country, even if the DA comes to power tomorrow are they going to fire all the union workers and replace them with proper workers?
No.
Are they going to turn off all the power to nonpaying municipalities and watch how the simpletons burn everything down?
No.
Are they going to purchase their products from whoever the please and skip the whole BEE bullshit?
No.
We need less governance not a replacement of it, we need service delivery out of the hands of government and deal straight with the private sector. We need to skip the payment of services to municipalities and governments and pay the private sector directly.
Governance by any political party in SA will always mean your money not going to what you pay it for. We need to break the patronage network that means breaking the system.

Stop using government electricity, completely, it will cost you more by paying a private solar company or such but if everybody does this we WILL break the system.

Re: power stations under attack?
That sounds a bit optimistic to me. Long before they allow Eskom to run out of money to steal they'll just tax the shit out of every solar installation in the country. They're making noises about that already.
Even if your wish came true and eskom's demise alone was enough, what comes after 'the system' has broken? Liberia is my guess. A stable and prospering country needs the buy in of the population so that a social compact can exist. That comes with a functioning democracy and we have an electorate that operates at a sub-optimal level so a functioning democracy we wont have any time soon.
I agree with you that voting isn't working but I don't agree that some catastrophic failure will lead to anything better afterwards. The same muppets who vote for the ANC and EFF will still walk amongst us and they will make the same
or worse kinds of stupid choices they've done to date.

Ideology over economics, BBBEE being one of them, ensured the countries bankruptcy. With the courts declaring
the policy unconstitutional we are sure to have a new theft policy in place soon:

Re: power stations under attack?
The more the private sector switches over the less chance of catastrophic failure there will be, power-wise I mean, because when the day comes that the masses don’t get power anymore but the rich suburbs are still lit then we’ll all be lit by fire in any case.
It’s a case of make your own power but load your own ammo, they go hand in hand.
