Hawke Optics South Africa have posted on their own facebook page that the scopes are available. Venatics Gear have them is stock according to the facebook page. Brother arms have also posted that that they are in stock. R18600 seems to be the launch price.

Also have top say in the list I mentioned above. I was looking at a scope which included FFP.
Otherwise Lynx would have been on the list. Their FFP model is +30
Shooty, would you say the Lynx is better than the zeis?

    I have a niteforce nxs 5-22×50 on my 264.
Very happy with glass and its performance.
I see there is a nxs for sale second hand in one of the threads on jaracal.

If you're going to target shoot, you need a scope that can dial easily, if you going to crawl in the bush, the turrets need to be capped or lockable.

As you go up in price, you get target scopes with lockable turrets, but I'm not sure you'll find a scope to do both jobs well at that price. And as you go more expensive, the scopes are bigger and heavier, so it affects the hunting part.

This is a perfectly good reason to chamber a second rifle in the same caliber - one for hunting, one for targets, and you can use the same dies and brass.

Do the math, I think you'll find two rifles with medium [ 12k ] priced scopes comes close to one rifle with a high end [ 40k ] scope.
War is convincing young people to kill complete strangers who are not a threat to them personally.
