    Default Mauser .22 MS420 - gunsmith

I have a pre 1930's MS420 .22lr. It was bought new by my grand father.
A few years ago the extractor clip broke. I took it to a toolmaker recommended on GS. In the process of "fixing" the extractor he also managed to mess up the firing pin.

Does anyone know of someone in the Gauteng who would be able to fix this. I can get an identical bolt that can be used as a template.

I see you are on the east ront. In Swan rd Benoni there is a company called Hunia Grinding. Oom Thys Erasmus is a fantastic tool and die maker who fixed my .22 Mauser's firing pin.

If you don't come right, I may have a spare bolt available.
