Well put. The majority of gun owners I've known loved their guns as much as their medical aid or life insurance.

You need to get out more. Rhat will make it easier to meet a better class of people.

    I appreciate the thoughtful advice

Seriously though, if more than 1% of firearms owners in SA are enthusiasts I'd be surprised. Before license cards were in envelopes I was lways amazed at how few non-section 13s there'd be in the pile at the DFO.

Also a grudge purchase for me.. Don't get me wrong I'm happy I have my guns and if it wasn't so expensive I would shoot a lot more but I would have also liked a nice new mountain bike... But this is what happens when SAPS is useless and the country is over run with crime. You have to look after yourself.

Ms Kirsten started it: "Colonial gun mentality of middle aged white males...."

Can she please enlighten me on how many of her "middle aged white colonialists" are responsible for the majority of her increase in "Mass murders in RSA" and for gun violence in general as I have no clue and couldn't care less. The race of a criminal is of no concern to me and the race of the cop or member of society defending himself or apprehending said criminal also a non issue. Crime is in all communities and crime has no race.

She takes her cue from leftist / socialist commies like Barack Obama:

" You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Must say I'm disappointed in 'Ms Oxley'. Expected far more from her than 12 guns
Under the circumstances (BBC) we're very happy. Notice that except for Adelle everyone was on our side.

The reporter will be attending the next GOSA Girls On Fire training day in May.

    Yeah... that's a half-hearted dig at me...

That's why GOSA created Girls On Fire, and why we push them out front for the press.

When we were interviewed (it took days... they were very thorough) we primed them specifically for the GFSA "all illegal guns were once legal. Legal gunowners are the source of illegal guns" angle. Note how they pivoted directly to put the boot into SAPS and Col Chris Prinsloo.
