Default Rebel 17 Tumbler drive belts

    Good afternoon,
Does any of the members know where I can find drive belts for the Rebel 17 wet tumbler in South Africa?

    Kind Regards

What sort of belt is it, i.e. V, toothed, round?

You can buy round urthethane belt material to make your own custom one. Just get the diameter of the existing one, get a meter or 2 of belt material and go for it. Youtube will show you a few ways to melt and join the ends.

Thank you. I will try that. The existing one has stretched too much and keeps on sliding. Any idea who would stock urethane belt material?

I bought some nitrile O-ring cord of the same diameter from my local Bearingman and the adhesive that comes in the Q-Bond kits works well to join the O-ring cord. I found that cutting the cord at a 45 degree angle to get more surface area for the adhesive bond works best.

I believe regular superglue works a treat too. And i think Bearing man will be easier and cheaper than RS components.

It's hard to be more expensive than RS but they do have a lot of stuff. Depending on the length you need and if there's a bit of adjustment room available it's not impossible that there's an o ring that will work. I've used off the shelf o rings for low power drive band applications on a couple of projects in the post.

    That's all Q-bond glue is.
