It could be seen as a reasonable infringement.

Just as you are allowed to drink alcohol if over 18, just not while working.

    Right of admission reserved.
If a business has a sign that says no white shoes allowed and you rocks up with white shoes, they have the right to eject you.

Same as with your own property, you have the right to decide who is allowed on your property. If you don't want people wearing hats in your house, you are not somehow forced to allow them into your house if that is what you want.

If a shop /business / hospital / whatever doesn't want firearms on their property, they have the right to enforce that. It doesn't infringe on your rights, as it is not a given right to possess a gun in SA. If they ask you to leave and you refuse, don't be surprised if the cops rock up and tell you to leave.

It doesn't matter if their reasoning is for not allowing it didn't make sense with it, or you disagree with it.

You are not breaking any law by carrying a legal and licenced firearm, but you still are subjected to rules and regulations that occurs on private property

Does that include the owner and could the regulation be in other provinces? We are in NW and just applied for a liquor licence for our guesthouse/restaurant. There is no way I'm taking the "liq her" over the right to carry on my own property.

Meh! Local or even provincial ordinances are silly pieces of paper. The FCA is a national law.

As per the KZN liquor act (well its long name):
    (h) be in possession of a firearm on premises in respect of which a licence has beenissued, except for the owner or manager of the premises or a police officer on duty; or
