Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
They are full of cr@p making up rules and steps according to how they want that isn't in accordance with the act.
They should print it when you go there after approval.
Its one the system. DFO logs in, go to your app, sees its approved and click on the "print" option for the cert.\
There are no process changes or any of that nonsense. its hogwash.
Maybe go to another DFO at another SAPS and tell him so and so from this/that station are having printing issues. He said I can come here and you will print it for me.
Some of these people are just absolutely so lazy, taking a dump is effort for them.
Just go to the nearest next SAPS station

I got the SMS for approval of competency on 14 Nov. Went half and hour later to my DFO. He printed it and I submitted my licence application the very same time. Took all of 25 minutes. Helps to have done proper homework on what was needed. Your DFO is smoking something he shouldn't. This was at Douglasdale in Jhb.

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
Just got a response from the Firearms Section Head at FLASH regarding my query for S13 application exceeding 90 days. He says my application is in "for consideration". Can someone please tell me what "for consideration" means? Does it give me any indication of how long I will still have to wait?

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
I asked this on another post. Father-in-law has a green licence. He wants to renew/apply. Is it a new application? What's the process?

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
Hi everyone, my license application has been at “send to licensing section” from the 24/06, what other steps are still after this? I can’t see it on the flowcharts.

Re: Process flow charts: Competency and License Applications
I seem to recall mine changed to “send to licensing section” on 22/05.
From there, it changed to consideration on 06/07, approved 11/07.
Yeah, so you probably 6 or 7 weeks away from approval/refusal.
Printing seems to be the biggest hold up currently. its gone from 3-4 weeks to 3-4 months...
