Re: Licence refusals - Data base
Have there been no refusals since June last year or has this thread just dried up?

My Section 16 AR15 refusal
Hi, I wrote my own motivation, I basically said that I'm licensing the AR15 for the purpose dedicated sport shooting with the intent to participate in 3 gun competitions. I had all the basics in the motivation, like the security systems in place, the safe I had installed, all previous sport shooting activities as well as all the necessary documentation and endorsements from NHSA. I had my DSS done through NHSA. The refusal letter I managed to get from my DFO says that the registrar didn't see a valid reason or purpose for me to own an AR15. I'm really not sure what else they want from me in my application. I can't really participate in 3 gun competitions and the like without having my own licensed ar15 to participate with.

Re: Licence refusals - Data base
Motivations for SLRs are not simple matters. I know someone will pop up now and say "you don't need a motivation for S16"/"I just wrote two lines and didn't even put attachments on my app"/whatever, but then you end up with a refusal and frustration.
A proper motivation service like Motivus or GOSA Law (who sub-contract to Motivus, at a discount to members) removes some of the mystery and gives you follow-through to Appeal."Always remember to pillage before you burn"
