Re: Licence refusals - Data base
Good day everyone! Is there someone that can help me clarify the meaning of the CFR’s primarily refused?
Is there still a chance that it can still be approved or is it a dead certain refused?

Re: Licence refusals - Data base
To pickup on my earlier post here..
Date of submission: 01 June 2018
Consideration: Never received
Refusal date: 20 October 2018 (I was not aware they work on Saturdays!?)
Submission type: DSS(S16) FN-FAL
Reason for refusal: Insufficient motivation, could not convince registrar the firearm is needed
DFO: Midrand
Days (NOT working days): Too #&*%$@? many!!
Submitting appeal today with GOSA legal team but this is complete and utter bullshit! Of every application for S16 that has been submitted and refused, they want to tell us that there is no motivation in the world that is acceptable to them. Can we not take one of these guys to court, make an example out of him so the rest will fall inline? This whole 90 day thing use to work after the court case was won but now they are just ignoring it, be it 90 days or 90 working days, we take the CFR as a whole to court, we win, they comply for a few years and after a while they just wipe their asses with whatever they are supposed to do, be it a court ruling or not

Re: Licence refusals - Data base
Date of submission: 04 May 2018
GOSA assistance requested: 04 September 2018
Consideration: 10 September 2018
Refusal date: 25 October 2018
Submission type: Section 16, Pistol Calibre Carbine in 45 ACP
Reason for refusal: Will find out tomorrow
DFO: Midrand
Working days: ~123 days depending on who is counting
After around 90 working days, I asked GOSA to assist with following up, and only after that did the application quickly move to consideration. I included my SADPA, NHSA, GOSA, SAGA, SAAACA memberships, pages upon pages of activity reports, SO certificate and a solid motivation. I already own some SLRs, however this is my first PCC and my first S16 application for 45ACP calibre. I'll ask GOSA to assist with an appeal as soon as I have a print out of my refusal letter.
The only thing this has achieved is that I again donated to GOSA today, which is now turning into a monthly thing, and I'll be stepping up my drive to recruit more people to sign up with GOSA.

[QUOTE=Davidc;1286379]Provincial DFO’s function is to act as a final QC before sending the documents to CFR. It may be something as simple as a missing document.
Okey so should i contact my dfo or just wait for them

Re: Licence refusals - Data base
[QUOTE=vlam1989;1286401] My Licence was first preliminary refused, then finally refused due to: "Failed to provide relevant/supplementary documentation in support of motivation". I wish they could have let me know what was missing so that I could have rectified it without having to re-apply.
