Spyderco Endura vs. Benchmade Griptillian
Hi All
Trying to make my mind up on which EDC knife to purchase next. It's a toss up between the Endura and the Griptillian (with the thumb hole). Leaning towards the Endura at the moment because of price and the fact that I really like the VG-10 blade steel and the fit and finish of my other spydercos. I really like the blade design and locking mechanism on the benchmade knife. This is a hard choice so I would like to hear some input.

Have you handled them both? I would say which is a better fit in your hand and easiest to deploy.

Re: Spyderco Endura vs. Benchmade Griptillian
The Axis lock is very strong but unless you plan on beating your EDC knife around a lot I question how much more money it is worth. The added width / thickness of the Benchmade makes it a non-starter for me (along with many other folders) and I have long been a fan of the Endura and Delica with poly scales. JMO

+1
Got an Endura as a present from a dear friend and it's a pleasure for EDC!Prone to random kindness, lecherous behaviour, imitating D-cups at speed and an outstanding sense of humour. If you don't agree, well fuck you.

I would have to agree. I carry a Endura 4 as an EDC, love it. Love all Spydies, for that matter. And besides, the black FRN matches my Glock!!

Re: Spyderco Endura vs. Benchmade Griptillian
I am fortunate to have both blades ... Awesome defensive tools
From my experience the Griptillian is slightly quicker on deployment ...
I don't think you will make the wrong choice whichever way you decide to go
ENJOY!
Kind Regards,

Re: Spyderco Endura vs. Benchmade Griptillian
My choice...2 x Endura 4's...one on the left and one on the right!!!
I have not handled the Benchmade Griptillian as yet but I find the Endura's easy to carry. I did not say comfortable as EDC is a compromise on comfortability and more often than not...it is a sacfrifice to do EDC. However the Endura's are comfortable as they are light yet they are sturdy and can do the job. They are expensive but not to overly expensive that I am going to cry for a week or two should I lose or sacrifice one or both.
For casual office clothing that ranges from jeans to chinos...the Endura 4 works for me.

Re: Spyderco Endura vs. Benchmade Griptillian
Hi Guys
Thanks for all the input has been great to have some second opinions and everybody made a valid point about the knives! Time to go play with both (thanks wtang and Geoff) at Sharp Edge. Still leaning towards the Endura. I'll let everyone know what I finally purchase.
