If you buy the right rifle from the right manufacturer they are not "fiddly".

I do not have to try and convince anyone but have shot several rounds full auto and semi auto with a Wilson and it ran smooth. I have shot several rounds in my Colt and it runs smooth. I have read from guys who have shot thousands of rounds from Colts and Noveskes and the like with excellent rep.

Read this ( http://www.10-8forums.com/ubbthreads...0&page=0#77196 ) again and you might see why some may be fiddly - the AR platform is not fiddly per se imo, it depends on who makes it and what the components are - like in 1911'S.

Yours is a wilson and colt, built properly with quality parts. These "recon" guns are too much of an unknown.

I agree that ars from decent manufacturers, well maintained, work.
