What is it true? o hell yes it is!!!!!!

Submitted a duplicate application in April 2011 after they lost my first application that was submitted in August last year.

Got a call over the weekend from Colonel Motau to hand in my current SD firearm did this yesterday morning and faxed proof to him.

Phoned the call center this morning just taking a chance to see maybe I'm in luck.

And couldn't believe my ears application for 9mm HK P30 APPROVED yesterday Yeeehaaaa.

Interesting fact they saw my duplicate as a new application so from receipt at CFR on 4 May 2011 to approval on 6 June 2011. And it took 2 weeks to travel from local DFO to Provincial to CFR. All in all +- 8 weeks.

Now the long wait begins for the card to be printed anyone have an idea on how long the wait is at the moment, I am on the West Rand?

My licences were approved 17th March, am still waiting for the cards!
Every time I call there is a different number in the card printing backlog, from 130 000 to 220 000 cards to be printed.
Was also told they only print 1500 on a good day :(

I think luck comes more into it than anything else! i.e. Where you are on the pile that they choose to work with!

I have been waiting for my card since the 26th May. I know it's still too early to complain but the wait feels longer than the wait for approval already!
I was told 4weeks is the average wait you can expect. Wonder how many printers they have?

Same story here. Approved early Jan 2011, still waiting...

Thanks , I spoke to my local DFO yesterday to hear progress on my two renewal licence cards that was also approved in Jan 2011. She said she will ask for a reprint dont know if it will help.
