After it is done with the CRC it goes back to the CFR for consideration, after which it goes through to approval.
thank you that clears it up

Yes, I still can't believe my luck, seems like I had n dudd application or the whole system broke down as the normal waiting time is forever and mine was done in 6 weeks. But now I believe the rifle licence will make up for the quick competency by taking a few years

Applied for both SLR and Bolt action but the competency states Carbine, SLR. Nothing about manual loading rifle. Asked the DFO and the response was " i don't know anything about this because I don't own any of these things". Maybe we should employ people In positions that actually know their work.

CFR states that I don't have comp for bolt action rifle and the station says they don't know. f@^&#($^ck

As an aside, still no word from GOSA on this matter or their queries. I understand that they are probably extremely busy with the coming court case and the expired licenses, but it still sucks not even getting feedback from them.

Anyway, hopefully the license application goes quicker. I will be sure to phone the CFR every week and not bother phoning the DFO.

So I finally got my competency certificate yesterday. From the first week in January. What a complete mess. At least I can now go shopping and start this whole stupid process all over again.
