    Default Nepal Gurka Kukri

What's the general opinion out there regarding the Nepal Gurka Kukri? How much benefit will the shape of the blade have in combat?

Lastly, will this blade serve as a good back-up home defence weapon?

    Preferred suppliers???

    Hi Lone Ranger

IMO that blade could cause some serious damage. I have a (made in Nepal) kukri that is mainly a display piece and it is kept on my bedside table at night in case... very heavy, thick blade and the shape affords a better chopping angle!

I would definately take this to a knife fight!!

the fighting style with a kukri is more on the lines of a short sword rather than a large knife. so keep that in mind when carrying or using one.

I ordered mine from Nepal. www.nepalesekhukuri.com
Mini Jungle Khukuri, 8" blade with 4" handle.
Local suppliers charge double. Learn how to use it.
    Nice dismembering tool.

if I might say this, you shouldnt buy a true Nepali Khukri, you earn one!
I am studying an awesome brand of leg fighting which was inspired by dung beetles and I think my brand of Kraft Manure is superior to all other styles ever invented. Furthermore I challenge all other manurists to a rolling contest where we shall establish whose manure ball is the biggest! I shall call it Honest Kraft Manure and declare it superior to all other brands of manure and will tell you that I have claimed the lineage directly to Imshi the great Dragon Kru Master Beetler who invented manuring, by gathering all manure from different animals together and making it work as the worlds most effective fertilizer. I proved myself by being members of not one but three super elite special gardening departments who were responsible for spreading manure to combat weed infestations!

ritual aside, learn how to use it. they have a very heavy blade with a forward balance point. great for chopping, and "disarm" takes on a literal meaning...

the downside is that the weight and forward balance makes recovery a little bit slower than a lighter or more balanced blade.
