Level 1 Qualification 16 July & Competition 23 July 2011

We will be holding our first competition on 23 July 2011.

There will be an opportunity to qualify for the Level 1 on 16 July 2011, and hopefully this will increase the number of entrants.

I will then send you the entry forms/packing list etc.

Level 1 16 July

The L1 is a 3.2km hike done in under 40mins, thereafter 10 shots have to be placed on a 230mm target @ 100 meter from a field expedient position.
After the shooting you have 15 minutes to field strip & clean your rifle.
There is a minimum of kit that has to carried as well.
Pass is on a Go/NoGo basis

This is an ideal opportunity to test your kit & your skills.
Cost for the Level 1 is R75
Start at 08h00

The Competition 23 July
The competition will test all aspects of the Sport, including:
1. Combatives
2. Blades
3. Shooting: Long distance
4. Shooting: Close quarters
5. Moving/Hiking
6. Communication
7. Support skills/First Aid
8. Teamwork

You must be level 1 qualified to participate & L1 gear is mandatory. (It will be checked!)
In addition you will need total 50 rounds for handgun and a fighting blade.

Its going to be physical & you will get very dirty!

Starting from 07h00, times will be confirmed a week prior.
Prize giving from approximately 13h00.
Awards for 1st & 2nd prize.
Winners must be present to be eligible for prizes.
Bring a change of clothing for the prize giving
Prize giving to be held at a nearby venue.
Entry fee for the competition is R175, (does not include food & drinks at the venue.)
Each entrant will receive a certificate & a cloth badge

This time, health permitting, i will be there. Will email you during the week. Should have all the gear from previous prep for Level1, unless requirements have changed.

Had the idea/concept bouncing around for a looong time, Bushboy, Sean M & Ciappa_r have been instrumental in its practical development.

Our first "official" L1 was last year June.
