    Default Falke rear sight

    Hi

I'm looking for a rear site for an old Falke air rifle. They seem impossible to find. Can anyone comment on which of the modern air rifle's sights will fit, even if a bit of modification is necessary.

    Hi jpgun

I am busy restoring a FALKE pellet gun at the moment for a friend. If it is the same one as yours... I think you are gonna have a tough time getting a sight for it. A competent person with a bit of skill could very well make a sight that will work but I don't thing it will look like the original.
Here is a pic of the one I have been busy wit for a while now. Still need to do the blueing. (old school cold blue) Restoration of the stock at the moment as it was in a bad way!

I see the rear sight is attached to the rifle. Any reason for replacing it?

I got this pic of the net just to show what I'm looking for. This is not my actual rifle.

Aaaaah.... I see. Think a machine shop should be able to make you one up. All that is really needed is a few measurements of the dovetail and the front sight height. Should be pretty straight forward.

Thumbs up Re: Falke rear site

    Hi there,

Personally I own a Falke 90 and Gamo (both .177 or as we call them no.1 , no.2 being .22). The Falke (over 40 years old) will definitely be my favorite of all , having shot a wide variety of air-guns in both target shooting and birding.
Falkes were made in W. Germany for a short period in the 1950's, when it seemed that the company then ceased production, even though it had made some good airguns. I owned a Model 50 in the 1950's,...my first air rifle. It's the 'junior' model, and not that popular, They sell here for between $50 and maybe a couple hundred bucks depending on their state of preservation. The Models 80 and 90 are the most popular, but can command some high prices. Quite a few people have collected Falkes over the years, despite their reasonable scarcity. I think a few are divesting their collections nowadays with the state of the economy.

    Cheers!!!

I got one from my Father, also the Falke 90.I don't know if you know, there were only 200 made, number is under the loading lever fo the pellet.
There was a peep sight available, but they are very difficult to find.On the 80,there were 400 made.
