I did notice that on my post too, thanks.

I think I've seen some pictures of AK's being used in some training some where, could even have been 3 gun, not sure, hence my interest.

    Craig,

This comment regarding AK's and 3 gun shooting was relayed to IPSC shooters via SAPSA management after some meeting that took place. This is very recent information. There just seem to be to much bad connected to the AK's. I think the same applied to the Black Tallons withdrawal from the market - bad publicity.

Ye, the AK is probably the most evil rifle around, just because. Black Talons as in the Winchester Ammo I persume.

Thanks for the AK info, didn't know about that.

Craig that S&B short dot would be an unbeatable choice pity about the price. Really does seem to be the best of all worlds.

Craig if you want to mount the sight lower than on top of the carry handle consider the aimpoint "forward mount" option.
See at http://www.eguns.com/sPearCat/1-4.wo...age?i=AIM10174. If you are interested in this mounting option contact me. This also allows for use of the iron sights.

I think Trijicon also offers a forward mount option on the Reflex (maybe worth it to investigate).

I use an Eotech but it is flat top mounted. Excellent sight.

Eotech and Reflex are better priced locally last time I looked.

Aimpoint Micro is also something to look at for forward mounting.

I worth while option to look into (if you invest in the best available) is to replace the AR hand guard with a Daniel Defence Quad rail or similar and mount the Acog/Aimpoint/Reflex/Eotech (not to sure about the Acog though) on the rail forward of the handle. This way you can still use your iron sights.

I had this done for a buddy on a stock standard SP1 and the it works well. Sight is very stable. The problem of course is to get the quad rail shipped out of the USA, (state dept very strict on those type of accessories)

If you are interested in the Trijicon stuff feel free to contact me for a price once you know what you want.
