Pick n Pay & GFSA
I came across this old article today:
http://www.beeld.com/Test/Los-die-speelgoed-wapens-vra-veldtog-20091116
It is only in Afrikaans, cannot seem to find the English version.
Basically, Pick n Pay is supporting a campaign by GFSA to not stock toy guns that look like the real thing, because it "encourages violent games".
Seems that I will not be shopping at Pick n Pay anymore, as they support GFSA. Never knew they had the anti-toy gun policy until today.

Re: Pick n Pay & GFSA
Okay... I'm posting their stupid card back to them. I shop at spar in my areas anyway... much better stores and with the exception of the newest one not even an anti-gun sign.

Re: Pick n Pay & GFSA
sometimes we are a little too
sensitive on this forum, sometimes we dont use the search function often enough sometimes we are morbid and like ressurecting oooooooooooold issues. this was addressed with PnP management and their answer was based on their choice and had nothing to do with GFSA they sayI am studying an awesome brand of leg fighting which was inspired by dung beetles and I think my brand of Kraft Manure is superior to all other styles ever invented. Furthermore I challenge all other manurists to a rolling contest where we shall establish whose manure ball is the biggest! I shall call it Honest Kraft Manure and declare it superior to all other brands of manure and will tell you that I have claimed the lineage directly to Imshi the great Dragon Kru Master Beetler who invented manuring, by gathering all manure from different animals together and making it work as the worlds most effective fertilizer. I proved myself by being members of not one but three super elite special gardening departments who were responsible for spreading manure to combat weed infestations!

Re: Pick n Pay & GFSA
I have always enjoyed supporting PNP, and boycotting them over this supposed issue is bordering a bit too close to fanatic status for my taste. As long as they don't turn into anti-gun ownership zombies, I don't see a reason to get upset about it.

I also enjoy my shopping at Pick & Pay even after the time I had to lie on the floor while 17thugs robbed us all, 2 wielding Ak's, others handguns. The were kind enough to pay for all valuables stolen and even provide counseling

Re: Pick n Pay & GFSA
guess I just don't like the PnPs where I am so this is as good a reason as any to re-enforce the dislike. But seriously... Anybody been to PnP White River? Alarming similarities to them Zombies.
