Getting the licence is a pain in the arse. Get the best gun you can. R4K is a good price IMHO.

Think my luck ran out after buying it :-)

Bought the revolver from an old lady who inherited it from her husband. She just wanted to get rid of the guns, she actually wanted to go and hand in the guns. Really glad I was at the right place on the right time!

Re: .22 lr handgun- what makes?
Now I have a question, I am also seriously considering getting a .22LR pistol for plinking. But my concerns are as follows: How difficult is it to get a license for it as a dedicated sport shooter? I already own a .22LR Anschütz rifle.
I am not a dedicated sport shooter yet, but I am planning on getting my status very soon and then buying a .22LR Handgun and something larger aswell.

Re: .22 lr handgun- what makes?
beretta 71 - can be found and its an excellent gun , loads of fun
the ruger i also lovely but i prefer the above
then the Walther P22 very nice and nice to have fun and "cross train "
taurus makes a lovely 9 shot in various barrel lengths.
i was given a K22 and did not realise its value and i did home gunsmithing with it with an angle grinder! but still shoots like a star. its unique in that it can shoot 22 magnun and 22LR without changing cylinder .
i have a Korth as well
but the beretta 71 is forever my preciouslive out your imagination , not your history.

Re: .22 lr handgun- what makes?
I am with Kuben here, I have the following plinker size 22s: Beretta mod 70, Beretta mod 418, Colt MatchTarget, FN Browning Challenger.
In dedicated sports pistols (mostly 22 short) PAV,Walther OSP, Browning Int Medalists Mk 1 + 2, Unique VO-79, Bernadelli mod 69, Drulov mod75, BerettaOlimpionico, Hi Standard Olympic ISU.
My definite favorite is the Beretta Mod 70. I can recommend the Beretta mod 70/71/76

Re: .22 lr handgun- what makes?
Don't mean to hijack the thread gents, but seeing as Corrie mentioned it - anyone know of a Beretta Mod 70 or 71 for sale anywhere? Or anyone that might have one that they might be willing to sell?
Looking around for one at the moment :)
Thanks!

Beretta 89; well balanced and accurate. Quality unquestionable.

Some walthers can be ammo sensitive
