Smile New User to Site in desperate need of help....

    Howzit Chaps

I'm a new user to this site, only just discovered it this afternoon.

I'm busy with my gun licence application for 3... They are Howa .22-250, Howa .30-06 and an Anshuntz .22... The problem I'm sitting with at the moment is my motivation for these... I'm generally going to use the smaller rifles for hunting Varmin, jackals mostly and the .30-06 for bushbuck, warthogs, bushpigs, kudu etc.

Can any of you guys help me with example letters or tips etc?

    Hi ABA

I'm not the expert, but I can tell you what I did.
Join a shooting club, practice regularly.
In your motivation add your membership cert and a letter from a farmer where he permits you to shoot vermin on his farm and that you regularly do so with him.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi ABA,

I included photos from my hunt and letters from farmers where I hunted. When I submitted my applications. I also got my hunting group to all write a letter for me, which I included in the application

    Enjoy
The myth of safe places : One of the lies sheeple tell themselves, to help make it through the day.
Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. "All skill is in vain when an Angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket."

While a 9 mm or .40 caliber bullet may or may not expand, it is an undeniable fact that a .45 caliber bullet will never shrink.

    Hi ABA

Also include letters from hunting buddies, a letter from your spouse stating that you are sane and they don't mind you having firearms. If you put in "proof" of a hunting trip you already booked, it will help. Write your motivation like a cv, the person reading your appplication knows nothing about you. Been there, done that, work for a shooting association, handle a lot of applications and appeals. Try it.

    Good luck. It's fun.

    Hi ABA,
The best advise I can give is to have a pro do the motivation for you. I used Ranyati (Riaan 0823368650) to do the motivation for me. I paid him R285 (I think). My motivation was binded with over 40 pages. I only waited 4 months for my licence and I believe the motivation was a big contributing factor.
