No, you take part and everything. You do not have to be a member in order to shoot. They just refer to you as a visitor. I am attending their next shoot and I was told that I need to bring my rifle with 48 rounds of ammo and some other bits. They seem very down to earth.

Once I have attended the shoot I will give my feedback.

Ok I have some more info for you. According to Peter who runs the club, the club itself is not accredited with the SAPS yet, but they are affiliated with SAPSA (Practical Shooting Association). So when you qualify for dedicated status in SAHPRA, then you register with SAPSA through them, who then award you the Dedicated status.
Peter mentioned several of their members have received their licenses for SLR's this way. Which is really nice if you do not want to go the 3-gun route.

I will speak to Peter Smith on the day and then find out from the members as well what the perks are.

WRONG! Bring a rifle and shoot. The only reason for the 3 shoots before joining is to weed out time wasters who join on day one and are never seen again. This would give me too much admin!

    Next shoot Sunday 21st.

High Power, do the training/coaching mornings also count as shoots attended?

The literature states that the training counts but perpetual training only is frowned upon
