Thanks Pivo, that belt loop and sheath seems very versatile, worth looking at. May I ask, where you got yours and the Wilderness belt?

I note your carry position and love the idea! I also see that this is a Cold Steel Kobun knife and I also own one. Whilst I love the knife itself, I find that the sheath is rubbish - the knife doesn't "stick" particularly well to the sheath and my concern in carrying it in an inverted position, is that it will fall out if you run or jump, etc.
    What are your thoughts?

my sheath held pretty well in normal conditions, but yes running and jumping did make it slip down a bit. My fix was to put a little piece of gaffer tape inside the mouth of the sheath to make it a slightly tighter fit, and its worked perfectly. Some of the other guys I do knife training with advocate using a thick rubber band to retain the knife, (going around the sheath, then twisted/crossing itself, then around the handle/handguard of the knife) while still allowing you to draw the knife by snapping the band in an emergency.

do you have the kydex sheath? some of the new tantos I have seen had a really crappy cordura sheath

do a search Long Ranger, its been discussed many times Ad Nauseum. Yes you can carry a knife. Its what you do with it that matters, although you will run into some cops who kinda make up the laws as they go who might give you shit and confiscate it, ie. add it to their personal cllection...
