I wanted one. Spoke to Guns & Bows (Importers). They have a problem getting semi's from the states. Trying hard apparently for some mini's. Said I should call back towards December. If they get the permit for the min's right, they may try for some of these as special orders. It's an expensive platform at almost $2000. There are other's available for less at the moment. I don't know if anyone locally has one, or has shot one, so can't comment on reliability, but I like my Rugers, including my mini and find them extremely reliable. If they do come in and are +25k (basded on dollar price of others landed here) I'd probarly give it a skip!

It is a piston impinged AR platform rifle and seems to have a good reputation.

Tactical type Semi Auto Rifles from the USA are problematic because they specific commercial require end user certificates for export purposes. Some importers are not interested in dealing with those issues.

Bill Ruger (the self-loathing gunmaker) has declared that he will not supply semi-auto rifles 'overseas'.

Bill Ruger hasn't declared anything for a good few years. Unless you have a very good medium.
