    Morning boys,

will be putting my competancy and licence in soon. How is Alberton Police Station or should I try another station?

    Cheers

    Brackendowns seems GTG.
Have Chatted to the DFO, he is very helpful.

    Thanks guys,

another question. I am really keen to get going, and swung by Brackendowns Police Station this a.m., I did not get far as I never realised that two passport photos were required for the application. This got me thinking as I am about ready with my licence application for a hunting rifle. Would it be prudent to wait for the weekend when my rifle licence application will be complete and submit the Competency and Licence application together? Or should I submit the Competancy and follow with the licence application?

    Cheers

Andrew, I don't think it makes too much of a difference with the current system. I submitted both, and my licence app stayed behind at "Received at CFR" while my comp went for consideration. It was approved, and what took some time was for the one department to let the other one know that the comp is approved and they can proceed with the licence app.

Time line between approval of comp and approval of licence is 1 month, so not too bad.

However, I have heard of some awesome turnaround times for licences with comp approved beforehand, so take your pic!

Andrew, I submitted 3 app's at Alberton/ Brackendowns, and had no problems.
