Survival rifle
Servival rifle
Any thoughts on that?????
shoure not every situation call for a servival rifle because ull probabily b home safe and dry in a day or 2 b4 ur belly rubs a blister on ur back bone but if it lasts longer then finding food will become very important.
i was thinking of a bolt action .22lr with a 13inch barrel threaded for a silencer and a scope.
i think this would b perfect for gathering food or more.
any thoughts????

Re: Servival rifle
Firstly, spell check and no "cell phone" lingo please. I find things like "b4" and "b" etc instead of the actual words is one of the main reasons our kids are no longer able to communicate with others on any form of intellectual level. You have a full "qwerty" keyboard, please make use of it. (Rant off) - no disrespect intended dude.
.22lr would be great depending on the situation because ammo is cheap and you can buy plenty. Now a Semi-auto 22, that would be beneficial without a doubt.
I personally would be very happy with a magazine fed Lee enfield in .303. Ammo is available, it will facilitate shots at close range and out at distance. Perhaps a No. 5 Jungle Carbine would be best as an all rounder?
Nobody will discount the use of a good semi auto in .223 / 5.56 either.

Re: Servival rifle
I take it when you refer to survival it means the shtf and hence you in survival mode.
My viev would be that excpet for survival in terms of getting food, you might need to survive against mobs etc. and for that I would rather opt for something bigger than a .22 as an all round survival rifle.

Re: Servival rifle
I saw a Rossi pump action .22 LR with a removable stock the other day. I don't know how good it will be as a survival rifle, but they're so cute! Any excuse to have one will do...

Re: Servival rifle
Maybe a Ruger 10/22,if 22lr is the chosen calibre?
I also like the Rossi Puma 357 Lever action.
That said, for me,the ultimate survival rifle would be an AK47-it can endure tons of abuse and neglect,is powerful enough to handle any type of threat and will be a great provider of rations!
