Re: Joining a club
What you are missing is the fact that no matter which club you join you can go shoot at any and all SADPA clubs, so it doesn't matter.

Re: Joining a club
Yeah, you normally are charged range fees when shooting at a club different from your home club (for any shoots - club and league).
I've just found that it really doesn't matter seeing as you just go and shoot at whichever club is hosting a shoot on whichever weekend you can get to one, but your situation may differ. Besides, AFAIK JDPC is one of the 'cheaper' clubs ito membership fees.
I stand to be corrected but I think the two 'missing' months could be to make space for the Nationals and Africa Champs..?Be ready for anything, and if his head is not at least two meters away from the body, do not 'assume' he is dead and out of the fight. - Ikor

Re: Joining a club
No, that is not what I am saying. You need to join a specific club (your home club) in order to join SADPA.
I am saying that once you have joined you are not limited to shooting only at your home club - you can shoot at any and all affiliated SADPA clubs so IMO the choice of your home club is rather academic.Last edited by JS4; 17-01-2012 at 12:04.

Re: Joining a club
Range fees are normally "nominal" (R60 avg, most i've paid was R90) and with league shoots they are normally included in the entry price...
Our club even charges a fee for club members on club shoots but it's R20 and that normally goes towards the year end function / targets.
As for club, i was a member of Witbank for 3years even though i live in PTA, cheapest option at that point and i was reliant on my dads pistol and he lives in WTB.

Re: Joining a club
If you think 10 shoots a year is too little and you think annual fees are too much then you have noooo idea of the financial hit you are going to take when financing the ammunition for 10 shoots a year
