Glock 22//S&W686 .357 magnum//Horton special 2inch .44 magnum
Would anyone have a suggestion regarding a UK citizen that used to bring his revolers and Glock to SA every year to enjoy the hospitality and freedom in SA .
Problem is the guns were left in a SA safe deposit box in 1998 after the UK banned them
Now the UK firearm certificate is out of date and the temorary SA import permit is out of date so they will need disposing of in some way in the future.
Just wondered if any dealers have any ideas ?
Or is it best to wait for another amnesty ?

I would happily take the 22 if he wants to hand it in. Not many options me thinks.

I don't wanna buy these guns, but only because I can't given my present situition...the revolvers are very desirable. I'd suggest getting in touch with a lawyer who knows about such things...hopefully other members will chime in with some specifics...Martin Hood? Or?????
I would not just dispose of them quite yet...Run Fast, Bite Hard!

Re: Glock 22//S&W686 .357 magnum//Horton special 2inch .44 magnum
Sorry I have not been on the forum for a year or so, but had a lot of business hassles and I am back on an even keel now
Yes I agree with the Guy who says how are you going to licence them anyway ?
I really would appreciate any sound legal advice that may be available out there as the owner is coming over to SA in a few months on holiday and could do with getting everything legalised
I have been in touch with Horton and they say its not one of theirs, so the .44 is a standard S&W 4 inch stainless.
The dealer that it was bought from in the UK cracked on it was a Lew Horton ! Owner never checked any paper work at the time.
They are just in too nice condition to destroy. I think that even if he had them de activated, the UK customs would not allow them back in without them being proofed in Birmingham
Any more suggestions Guys ?
Clearly they can not just be sold privately, as if there were a crime committed with them in the future, then the last registered owner will take the wrap
