    Default Caravans & gun safes.

I recently acquired a caravan. (I prefer to call it a mobile tactical beer cooler with a bed ;D)

It has a safe bolted? to the floor. Say there was an election on & I needed to store the g17 in the safe whilst the camovan was parked in a caravan site.
Would this be legally stored/comply with the FCA.

    Your advice please confused0083

Very good question. I do not have the answer but want to throw in a few thoughts.

You can fit a safe to a vehicle and store a firearm in the safe......then why not a caravan.....

Looking at the argument of 'What would a reasonable man do?".....this sounds like a good answer for a reasonable man...

If the car is stolen how are you going to explain that the gun was in a safe bolted to the car. confused0083

You have to obtain a certificate from the installer that certify that it was attached to specifications.

    Obviously displaying my ignorance....
From the above comments I am under the following impression:
It is legal to to have a safe fitted by an "authorised" fitment centre to your vehicle & then lock your FA in when you go to vote.

Is this for hand guns only or rifles/shotguns as well. :)
