    Default Grips for Taurus 80.

    Hello there.

I'm looking for grips for my Taurus 80 revolver. Pachmayr/Hogue/Uncle Mike's will do. The model 80 is a clone of the S&W 10.
The current wooden grips get in the way of the speedloaders. I modified it and its OK now, but still a bit small/thin for my hand.
No gunshop in Cape Town have stock, neither does Nicholas Yale.

Ill be grateful if someone can help.

    Thanks.

    Hi Moth

I ordered Pachmayrs for my Smith, a clone of the Taurus, from www.gunaccessories.comlast year. Cost about R 600 landed. I tried Brownells first but order was cancelled coz of the DDTC restrictions - manufacturer not registered. Took 3 weeks to arrive.

Gunaccessories has Hogue & Uncle Mike's too.

Ja, I know BigT. But I couldn't resist.

Anyway, I think 'clone' is too strong a word.

I shoot well the Taurus, clone or bad copy as it may be. 💪
But if you guys hear/see any of the above mentioned grips, please let me know.

    I'll ask around.

And the Taurus isn't a bad copy at all. I've owned the model 80, 82 and 85.

    BTDT.

Ever thought of having custom grips made? I've done as such with all my wheelguns by a local (CT) gunstock maker. All were made specifically to use speed-loaders and bespoke for my unique wank-mitts. Cost depends largely on what style you want and what wood they use. The last set I had made was about R500. Well worth the price.
