G19 SD Competency/Firearm Licence Application
16 February 2012 - Submitted with not much fanfare. Was told that applications are sent every Wednesday to Provincial in Joburg (using advanced calculations, that would mean that my applications get sent along today (22 February 2012).
22 February 2012 - Called CFR and Ignatius told me (after not hanging on for more than a minute) that my applications were sent to Provincial on 17 February (last Friday), coinciding, strangely, with the date that my local DFO captured my application on the computer. Is it conceivable that the DFO captured my data and entered on the computer that the application was sent that same day? (I received an SMS last Friday saying that my application was receiving attention by my local DFO).

Re: G19 SD Competency/Firearm Licence Application
22 February Update: Just phoned my local DFO to find out when/if my application was sent to provincial. The kind man told me that today is my lucky day because it was sent to provincial and then straight on to Pretoria today, according to the computer. Can I rely on that?

Re: G19 SD Competency/Firearm Licence Application
Called CFR on the 6257 number and a lady answered immediately and said that my application was sent from provincial but not recorded as received yet.

Re: G19 SD Competency/Firearm Licence Application
Well the nice lady at CFR told me that the computer says that my application (and I'm assuming it means the competency) was sent from provincial to CFR. However she told me that it was regarding my 9mm. Does the competency mention the firearm being purchased or is everything lumped together by ID number?
