Prep for Consideration
Hi All,
Got hold of CFR last night. Application for Comp certificate is being prepped for consideration. How long should i wait now? Looks like things are moving much faster these days at CFR now.
On the other hand, i have no trouble calling CFR at around midnight. They answer the phone same time but it does seem like i have woken them up from a deep sleep, lol.
Thanks guys,
Tyron.

Re: Prep for Consideration
In all honesty, your guess is as good as mine. There is no set time period, each application seems to follow its own rules.
I'm guessing a month to six weeks.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

Re: Prep for Consideration
From what I understand this means that all checks have been done, fingerprints, criminal record etc. have been varified. All this documentation will now be collated and submitted to the board. I don't think you will wait more than 2 weeks, that how long mine was.

Re: Prep for Consideration
I wonder what exactly does "preparation for consideration" entail? I was told by the call centre that it is the last step before "consideration". Now, after the application has gone through the DFO, provincial, fingerprints, checking your record and what have you, what further is there to prepare before the application can be considered? Is this not just a buzz word to feed to the unsuspecting public? I would really like to understand the "internal system" in the CFR, if such a thing exists.
Edit: Sorry, Andrew and I must have posted simultaneously. Good answer by him.

Re: Prep for Consideration
Ja me too.
This may be a report that is written summarising the findings regarding any irregularities found and offering recommendations. Normally a board would require a full information pack with summary (report) it is doubtful that they would want to interrogate all the information. Information will only be interrogated based on anomalies in the report. The board I think merely rubber stamps the recommendation in the report.
Anyone?

Re: Prep for Consideration
Spoke to my DFO on friday. He says to check with him next week thursday. The board only sits once a week to approve.
