requirements for shooting a league shoot
hey there peeps
I just wanted to clarify something. I recently completed my classifier (2weeks ago)
Do I automatically qaulify to shoot in this week's league shoot? or is it necessary for me to complete 2 club shoots first?

IDPA?
If so I don't think you need to do club shoots.
Classified in the division you intend t shoot in and NSO are the requirements I think.Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:

Re: requirements for shooting a league shoot
You can do a League shoot if you did the NSO and a classifier.
I don't see any problem with that.
Just remember to be safe with the finger whp while moving without engaging targets and the muzzle whp direction as you can take a walk home early, or help patch and pick up brass.

Re: requirements for shooting a league shoot
Beginners tend to get a little freaked out by "leagues". They are exactly the same as a club shoot, only more stages. The rules are the same, safety aspects are the same.
Just take it easy and don't try to go faster than your abilities and confidence can support.Cattle die, kindred die, every man is mortal:

Re: requirements for shooting a league shoot
I was told by a Paul Rogers that you need to do at least 2 club matches and a classifier, however it depends on the match director.

You may register with Robz for the League. We will see you there if you are going as I am going to SO for the day

Lone Range
You must register for this coming JDPC League with Rob Z.
As a paid up member who is classified and has done the NSO you can shoot the match.
Will need your SADPA number and class and division you will be shooting in.

Re: requirements for shooting a league shoot
I can't see anything that would stop you to go and shoot a league. The only issue to me would be that a league is normally a 'higher' level than a club shoot and for beginner it could be intimidating. I would say that it would be better to first do a club shoot but I can't see why you can't go and shoot a league...just that I think it is better to have a club shoot behind you.

Re: requirements for shooting a league shoot
hey there
I've been in recovery over the last 2 weeks from a serious chest infection (not swine flu!). had a bad day on saturday so I unfortunately did not attend.
health permitting, I'll be up and about in a week or so.
but hey, that also gives you old shooters a little longer to enjoy the reigns. us young shooters are stepping up to the challenge
