Default PDPC April Club Shoot; Classifier, Saturday, 14th April 2012

    Hi guys!

Due to the fact that we have a large number of new membersthat have not yet had the opportunity to participate in 2 club shoots or aleague shoot this year and the fact that not all members have Classified in theDivision that they want to participate in at the Northern Nationals; we havedecided to present a Classifier as PDPC’s April club shoot. This allows membersto qualify for the Northern Nationals if they still need to.

Cost: PDPC members =free Other SADPA members = R80.00

At this stage we will only be taking single bookings per member; in other words you cannot book 2 x shooting slots for yourself!
If the slots are not filled we will again notify members ofadditional open slots.

    A couple of rules;
    1. Youmay only shoot the Classifier if you are a paid up SADPA member, club memberand have completed your NSO. (New Shooter Orientation)
    2. Shooteris to be on the range for registration; half an hour before his/her allocatedtime slot.
    3. Shooterwill assist with patching and brass retrieval for the shooter after his/hertime slot! Failing to do so will result in a FTDR being awarded!
    4. Shooterto be ready and waiting to shoot , at the correct range, before his/herallocated time slot, with all equipment, etc. ready! If a shooter is not readyto shoot at the allocated time he/she will forfeit their slot.
    5. Whenyou book for the shoot; 1. Indicate which time slot would like to shoot in.
    2. Which Division you want to participate in.
    3. What your current Classification is for that Division. (If you don’t know, look it up on the SADPA
website!)( If you haven’tclassified in that Division your highest other Classification is used.)
    4. Your SADPA number.
    5. If you do not send the relevant informationI will not book a slot for you!
    6. If you reply to me via the SADPA Yahoo GroupI will not reserve your
    slot.

    6. You will beallocated a range on which to shoot the Classifier; you will not be allowed toswap ranges, Safety Officer’s, etc. Bookingswill be allocated to ranges as they are received.

We will have 4 Classifier ranges set up. We therefore need aminimum of 8 Safety Officers to assist on the day. This gets to be a very longday on the range.
When you book please letme know if you are willing and able to assist with SO’ing.

    The SO’s will shoot from 08h00 – 09h00
Members wishing to shoot can book a time slot from 09h00 inhalf hourly increments; i.e.
    09h00 – 09h30
    09h30 – 10h00
    10h00 – 10h30
    10h30 – 11h00
    11h00 – 11h30
    11h30 – 12h00
    12h00 – 12h30
    12h30 – 13h00
    13h00 – 13h30
    13h30 – 14h00
    14h00 – 14h30
    14h30 – 15h00
    15h00 – 15h30

That means that, excluding SO’s, there are 52 shooting slotsavailable; time slots will be allocated on a first come; first served basis!

    Hi folks,

The results of the Classifier / NSO held atPDPC on Saturday, 14th April have been sent out via the SADPA Yahoo Group.

We got off to a delayed start but caught up with the timing! We had a total of 60 shooters!

    As can be seen by the results;
    1. Anumber of shooters improved their Classifications; congratulations!
    2. Anumber of us need to get in some serious trigger time before the NorthernNationals!

A big thank you to Leon for presenting the NSO to all thenewbies!

Many thanks go out to all the Safety Officers that made theday possible and to the members that assisted with scoring and running around,i.e. Von Klau and Wild Mary.

Thank you to Sheila for getting the results out so quickly!

As usual; it got rather sociable afterwards!! J

All in good time! Doesn't mean that you can't pitch up and steal with your eyes and ears!
