ADVICE REQUIRED RE: old gun brand new springs
if a an old gun has every spring replaced with brand new ones as part of preventative maintenance including mag springs.
NB no parts are damaged or worn so parts remain.
does one need to run this gun is as we so often hear a new gun needs a few hundred rounds to run in?live out your imagination , not your history.

Re: ADVICE REQUIRED RE: old gun brand new springs
Normally, no. 'Break in' is mostly for parts to seat and you to be certain the gun is reliable (rifle barrel break in aside) with your ammo and magazines if it uses them.
Certainly one should test the gun again after the spring replacement(s) but not several hundred rounds worth assuming stock springs are being replaced with same or nearly so (+ or- 10%)Run Fast, Bite Hard!

Re: ADVICE REQUIRED RE: old gun brand new springs
I dont think that springs become "seasoned".
If anything they start on their "life curve" of gradually and very very slowly decreasing their springyness - jargon would be that their Hook's Law constant (k) gradually changes.
So as Ikor says - it is purely for check testing and peace of mind that you take your newly invigorated little blaster through the motions a couple of times.
