I would suggest getting her a 12 bore and use less shot per load. More versatile and the recoil is manageable for a lady shooter.

I concur. You get No. 9 shot 21 gram loads that are soft on the shoulder and that does take rockies down. For water fowl shooting you need heavier loads and that means recoil. Try and get a limb saver shoulder pad or padded jacket. Mounting the shotgun properly makes a lot of difference. Last year on a rocky shoot I bled through the skin. This year after 750 shots only had mild bruising.

Sorry but I STRONGLY disagree with WCC & driepootx. With the exeption of some pumps & semi-autos, 20Ga guns are generally proportionately sized for 20Ga. A 20Ga double is just that much sweeter to handle, I don't really know how to describe it. In practical terms the 20 is right up there with the 12, I've been taking guineas, frankies & rockies with a 20 SxS just as well as with a 12 for a number of years now. I would not hesitate to take on geese as well, just not take unnecessary long shots.
Ilizio, keep on looking for a 20Ga for your wive, it is worth it.
My Browning 525 in 20Ga arrived recently and once I have the licence I might just retire all my other shotguns.

    Hi Guy's.
    thanks for all the advice.
WCC and Driepootx,my wife is very small and she is scared of the 12Ga recoil, she shot with a 20Ga and she love's it.she dropped 30 Rockies with it,but ammo is my biggest problem dealers dont always have and if they have is not cheap.
But I Think 20Ga is the answer for her, then I can also enjoy my Hunting and not worry that she can get hurt.
Any Advice on Make's like Boito,Browning,CZ dont have money for the Italian make's so they are out.(It's anyway made of the same steel and wood)
