Re: Norinco CQ-A feedback
I got my norinco cqa about two weeks back, fired 300 rounds through it in two days and I LOVE IT!!!! Used S&B 55gr factory rounds and 55gr PMP rounds, no problems. Used the norinco and magpull mags, both worked fine.
The only complaints I do have is the paint job can be better, it is not bad, but there is room for improvement and the standard fore end feels very cheap, I replaced the standard fore end with the NC star aluminium quad rail, huge improvement.
Will try to load the vidz on you tube and post the link.

Re: Norinco CQ-A feedback
Yes I will get the magpul fore end in time, magpul offer some really great AR accesories, problem is to get hold of these, seems like I will have to import it myself. These rails just make the rifle feel a bit front heavy, the plastic fore end felt better in terms of balance.

Re: Norinco CQ-A feedback
I agree that the NCStar stuff is usually PB quality. But their quad rail, while not as pretty as the YHM/Daniel Defense etc stuff, is rock solid and fits easily.
I have extensively tested them, and no complaints at all. For the price (under R700) they are a good option until you can go FF or something smoother. But I cannot knock the quality as I have seen plenty of rebranded US stuff that is obviously the same thing sold under better names. When buying a 2 piece quick mount aluminium forend, for the price, you can doa lot worse.
