It's about how the old government put copper sulphate in the soldiers coffee to curb their urges and how it never really worked.

    Turn to Google translate:

Were we really coffee laced with vitterjoel?

Sometimes I wonder if this is true: Did they really agree upon a time, in the old South Africa, when many of our school and in the army, blue vitterjoel put in our coffee?

The coffee is always in a big silver kettle thing served - an urn. It has always been somewhere on a table stood, with a lid that lights up and then down while cooking.

Often these coffee as a blue-gray color had a metaalsmakie it. Was this perhaps the blue vitterjoel?

The blue vitterjoel had apparently help our bodily appetites calm. It was apparently a kind of Viagra-in-reverse.

It was 1970's and '80 's, remember. PW was the prime minister and later president, the NP was our conscience and as a school girl got pregnant, this shame of a family brought.

It was also the time of the Communist Attack on the Republic. We, the young men of the Republic's energy had to battle focused.

It was because of your Communist strategy: make the youth permissive, indoctrinate them with the Scope and Glenda Kemp and girls with Butterflies on their jeans - and the battle is won!

So it may not be far-fetched that blue vitterjoel harnessed all our energy on our high task to keep focused.

Such a decision would not be taken lightly. That old NP men were thorough.

Perhaps some other NP-scientist at a university first asked to investigate means to young men's libido calm.

It would probably be a top secret project was, with a codename like Project Storm Bird. Or rather Cisticola Project.

Then would the best science to a commission, consisting of a minister or two and some high government officials, its solution announced: blue vitterjoel.

The commission would probably recommend that it be at a group of youths at an industrial school in Soweto tested to ensure it does not cause permanent impotence.

PW would then perhaps everyone at Project Cisticola was involved in his office at the Union Buildings summoned.

"One can imagine that, a few men in black suits walking by the office. PW rose behind his desk.

One presented a report on his leather in gold letters which read: Project Cisticola.

"Well done, gentlemen," said PW. "Now you just make you good in our children's get coffee."

Then the command would have been possible to distribute eenheidsbevelvoerders and principals.

In the end it by the chefs in the army and matrons in the residences out: Pour blue vitterjoel in their coffee.

I've asked around but nobody knows whether we are really good coffee was. Maybe it's just a story. Or maybe it just does not work.

I am sure that is folklore, if the put it in the tea and coffee in the '80 & '81 it certainly did not work, I can personally attest to this . As Wrm said it must be in slow release form 'cause it is coming through strong now .
