For what it is worth, I enjoyed the mag! I picked up my copy at Huntex and had a little chance to chat to the guys.

Criticism is easy - as we all know - "the best players are always in the stands"! As for opinions on advice - most of the narrow-minded views expressed in print and on the web need to be seen in context. From my perspective, that context is that the dispensers of such advice are normally so far up their own naughts as to not believe that others may have an equally valid, albeit conflicting opinion.

I even enjoyed the article in the first edition by deonie (that just might stick!).

There is a gap for a new magazine. The ones put out by the associations are thin on content, and the established one has declined in the last five years in my opinion. Too much stuff that I can't identify with (hunting tigers in India, elephant in Bechuanaland), and too little of anything else I can't easily find on the net.

I picked up a copy on sat at ksc. I think it's pretty good.

Bought one of these. I liked it. Articles are informative and relevant, hope they can keep it up and not go the route that the SA Hunters mag went.

Perhaps there is a vacancy for a language editor? Grammatical errors and typo's are a bit of a hindrance for me, but I get it, small team probably stretched to the limits to get the mag out every month. And News24.com's is worse :)

Will surely buy the next one.

Where are you based ? I wrote a letter to the editor asking a copy of the first issue. She had no trouble sending me a copy. Unfortunately it was the latest issue with the Caracal on the cover. Now I have 2. Let me know if you want it.

Thanks KZ, i e-mailed them and they did send me a reply, perhaps i'm a little too late and all the copies are sold out. I'm based in Port Elizabeth. You can hang onto that copy thanks, i want to get back copies from them anyway.
