3 Gun question
I watched some of the USPSA's multigun events on youtube and want to find out if IPSC's 3 gun events also have stages/matches where one shoots more than one FA on a stage? Like on some stages you start of with your Handgun and then transition to your shotgun or rifle or whatever order in the same stage.
I've only been shooting handgun till now that I received my shotgun but have watched a few 3 gun matches and it's always separate stages/days for different FA's.
I read the rules and it seems that IPSC 3 gun rules states that you can't have more than one firearm on you at any time during a stage. But I was just wondering if it's different from USPSA multigun?

Re: 3 Gun question
IPSC does not allow this. It is a different federation with different rules.

Re: 3 Gun question
Hosting something like this when affiliated with ipsc could put the club under serious liability problems. Ipsc does not sanction such matches and will not entertain any cover should any incident occur.
I don't think many clubs realize this. They affiliate with either idpa or ipsc and then do club shoots with their own rules.

Re: 3 Gun question
Would be lots of fun though.
IMO USPSA was full of crap when they separated themselves from IPSC because of their "rules" that IPSC didn't want to adopt but I think IPSC can really look at adopting this 3 gun "idea" of hosting some matches that have multiple guns in a stage.

Re: 3 Gun question
IDPA Multi Gun rules provide for this type of "3 gun" sport shooting.
