Problems with Leupold VX3 3.5-10 x 50 Turrets

Good Evening All

I recently mounted a new Leupold VX3 3.5-10 x 50 scope on my rifle,but find it incredibly difficult to turn the turrets on the scope.
They appear to move only a few clicks and then get somehow "stuck". After I tap on them with my knuckle they might move one click,but then appear to be "stuck" again.

Anybody else experienced this before and if so, what was the solution appart from returning the scope to the dealer?

Start over.

Don't tighten the screws too tight. Use a small drop of blue Loctite or Permatex treadlock on the screws. Don't use the red stuff or you will never get them out.

Leupold's webpage probably has the torque required for tightening the screws. Usually it is a few inch/pounds.

I am however referring to the elevation and windage turret on the top and side of the scope.

Are the turrets sticky in both directions? Maybe the turret/s is/are at the end of its/their travel.
