Re: Hawke Scope
Great glass and optics with lots of nice extras, but when I used one I wasnt 100% confident with the sight adjustment. Bought a NIkon monarch instead

Re: Hawke Scope
I was also looking for a cheap scope for a .22 rifle some time ago. Toss-up between a Redfield and a Hawke. Eventually decided on the (cheaper) Hawke (being a 3-9X40 Mil Dot: http://www.hawkeoptics.com/rifle-sco...ort-hd-ir.html). I am very happy with this scope. Solid build and, as per pdh, good optics and some very nice extras (the optional green / red Mil Dot reticle has a very high CDI factor!). It feels and looks like a scope that should cost much more. For a .22 plinker that does some light fieldwork, I would recommend it highly.
