Probably true, WRM, but neither can the typical Saffo read either...or Brit or Ozzie or...well, you get the idea. I am actually sort of impressed they did not yet make a rap video of this, for all interested parties.

I am no fan of the .300BLK but remember...style and panache always trump facts...and facts are harder to come by than panache.

I sincerely appreciate you comments on anything firearm related Ikor. You have mentioned that you are not keen on the .300 BLK... but you've never really mentioned why that is. I am rather curious to know the reasoning for it.

It's time to ban "gun free" zones!

It's all making sense now. Thanks for the video. Kicker for me would be just how much more would a person be willing to pay over the standard price of a AR platform rifle in THIS Country? AFAIS Khumba is the only oke making this a reality for us but I shudder to think of the price over standard NEA .223/5.56

Should be exactly the same price... it's just a different calibre barrel after all.

    Same price.

From all reports they should be with the next shipment we receive after the current one that should be leaving Canada on Friday.

Patrick Sweeney likes the round and it's potential and performance.

Guns Magazine Combat AR Summer/Fall 2013 Edition has an informative article "The Hard Hitting 300 AAC" - from this article: " There have been many new cartridges that have come along. Shooters hear about it for months in advance. How it will be best thing since sliced bread, be able to take down a dinosaur and cost less than an imported mil-surp bolt gun. Shooters get stuck with a lot of empty promises, high costs and little or no industry support. The 30 AAC Blackout changed all that. Freedom Group is 100 percent behind the round."

More than 20 companies are making ammo, just about every major rifle manufacturer is making rifles and/or uppers and/or barrels with more than a 100 companies supporting the round with products.

I while ago 300 AAC Blackout was Midway's best selling rifle caliber ammo after 223/5,56.

It's here to stay and it is imo going to take over from the 5,56 in certain roles with serious users including some USA Government users. Time will tell just what the impact of this new round is going to be. It is also very viable in those Eu countries and others where civilians are not allowed to licence firearms in military calibers like the 5,56 (and 223 because those authorities realise the 223 can shoot 5,56 ammo) for example.
